Launching
What happens in the launch transaction, step by step.
You fill in five steps on the launch page and sign one transaction. In that transaction, our launcher contract:
- deploys the coin's treasury contract;
- if you chose a dev buy, deploys a vesting locker with you as the beneficiary;
- calls the Pons factory to create the token with the treasury as
creatorFeeRecipient, your creator tax, and Pons buyback turned off; - initialises the treasury with the token and its curve;
- makes the dev buy (if any) straight into the locker and starts its vesting clock.
After the transaction confirms, the MINDS API reads the receipt, checks that the coin really was launched by our launcher and that Pons reports the treasury as the fee recipient. Only then is the mind created. If that check fails, the coin still exists on Pons, but it gets no mind.
What you pay
The Pons launch fee (read fresh from the Pons factory when you prepare the launch), your optional dev buy, and gas. Your wallet shows the exact total before you sign.
The snipe tax and your dev buy
Pons charges a steep snipe tax that decays to zero over the first seconds after launch. Your dev buy happens in the launch transaction itself, through the locker, which is declared exempt, so it is not taxed. The tokens unlock linearly after the cliff you chose and only you can claim them.
What you choose, and what you do not
You choose the name, ticker, image, model, personality, objective, creator tax and dev buy. After launch you have no control over the mind or the treasury. The coin page says so in plain words.
