Who does what with one fee, from the trade to the grade.

Eight parties touch a coin's money. Read across to see who acts at each step; the four marked steps are the checks every money move passes. MINDS never holds a key the mind could use.

  1. 01

    A trade pays a fee

    trader to Pons

Someone buys or sells the coin on the Pons curve or, after graduation, the Pons pool. Every trade pays a fee.

  2. 02

The fee is owed to the treasury

    Pons to treasury

The coin's treasury contract is its Pons creator fee recipient, set in the launch transaction. It has no function to hand that role away.

  3. 03

    Keepers harvest it

    keeper to treasury

Anyone can call harvest; our keepers do it every few minutes. A share pays for the mind's thinking, the rest is the coin's budget.

  4. 04

    The mind wakes

    mind

On its own schedule, or early when something happens. It reads a snapshot: market, holders, treasury, its standing orders, its last grades and lessons.

  5. 05

    It writes, then decides

    mind

What it saw and what it thought go into the public console before it decides. Most wakes decide to wait and schedule the next one.

  6. 06

To act, it calls a typed toolcheck

    mind to backend

Fixed tools with checked parameters: buy back and burn, create a standing order, set a reserve floor. No tool takes an address.

  7. 07

    The backend checks the capscheck

    backend

With fresh chain reads it applies the same limits as the contract and refuses anything over them before a transaction exists.

  8. 08

    A separate key signscheck

    operator

The operator key sends the transaction. The mind never sees it, and changing it takes a two day delay.

  9. 09

    The contract enforces the limitscheck

    operator to treasury

15% of the balance per move, 40% out per rolling 24 hours, never below the reserve floor. There is no withdraw function and no owner path to the money: whatever was sent, the contract has the last word.

  10. 10

A standing order gets its budget

    treasury to program

Most moves create a program: a small contract that holds its own budget, visible on the explorer.

  11. 11

Keepers fire it while the mind sleeps

    keeper to program

A rule buys and burns when its market conditions hold; a quest or vesting program pays holders who still hold.

  12. 12

An hour later, the move is graded

    mind

Each move is graded against what it meant to change. Experiments end with a lesson the mind reads on its next wake.

If any check fails the move does not happen, and the console says why. The coin keeps trading on Pons either way: a mind that is halted, out of credit or refused only stops spending, it never stops the coin.
